What is the weather policy?

Walks are subject to cancellation depending on the weather. Inclement weather is just a part of the job; we are happy to walk rain or shine. On really wet days we naturally try out best to keep them out of the mud, but dogs will be dogs (they love to get dirty!), so please keep a towel handy so that we can dry him/her off if necessary. If you would prefer to shorten your walk to just a potty break on very bad weather days or otherwise due to medical or other reasons, please let us know and we would be happy to accommodate.

Walks will be shortened to short bathroom breaks and indoor time only on extemely 

cold days (ie. -25 degrees Celcius or below)

What is the closure schedule?

We do not offer service on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day. Other holidays, such as Easter and Thanksgiving, the cost will be 1 ½ times the regular rate.

How are house security and keys handled?

The Woof Pack must have a key to your home before you leave. We will not leave keys “under the mat” or the like, due to safety issues for your home. In addition, we will NOT lock keys in the house after the last visit, as we must be able to access your home in case you are delayed on your arrival home and your pet(s) require/need additional visits. We recommend that you let us keep a copy of your keys for the duration of services. In preparation for your pet visits, please ensure that you have a key prepared to give to your walker/sitter. All keys are labeled only with your pet’s name — we do not put your address anywhere near the key.

What supplies should I have on hand?

Adequate supplies should be on hand for the period of time you will be away (food, litter, pocket pet bedding, bird cage lining, litter bags, cleaning supplies, clean towels etc.) If supplies run out, we will purchase additional supplies and bill you accordingly.

What should I do when I return home?

We ask that you call The Woof Pack at 403-586-3653 to confirm your return home. This notification process prevents us from worrying about your pet(s), as well as scheduling additional visits to check on your pets to ensure their safety and billing you for the extra visits.

 

How do I pay?

We accept Cash, Cheque, or EMT (Email Money Transfer).  Please note full payment is required prior to service date in order to book and confirm your scheduled visits. Gratuity is graciously accepted and may be offered directly to your pet sitter in cash.
